Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) on Saturday announced the
official launch and availability of 2018 editions of its CBR 250R and CB
Hornet 160R. The latter starts at Rs 84,675 while the prior comes with a
starting price tag of Rs 1.64 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2018 Honda CRR 250R receives new paint schemes, Y-shaped LED headlamp cluster and a BS-IV compliant engine. There's no change in the design of the motorcycle and it continues with the same features like 250cc liquid-cooled engine, pro-link rear monoshock suspension, front and rear disc brakes, and a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as an optional extra.
The 2018 CB Hornet 160R receives new graphics and colour options too along with added features like an LED headlamp, low maintenance seal chain, hazard light switch and a blue backlit instrument cluster LCD. The bike also gets a single-channel ABS to assist the front disc brake. The ABS variants will be sold alongside the standard non-ABS and CBS (Combi Brake System) variants.
"The 2018 editions of CBR 250R and CB Hornet 160R are loaded with new ‘value’. Both the sporty offerings are Honda’s first mainstream bikes with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) – a year before the new industry norm sets in. Extending the LED promise to motorcycle portfolio, CBR 250R & CB Hornet 160R dazzle with LED headlamps. That’s not all, Honda has upped the aggressive and sporty style even further for passionate young riders," said Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, HMSI, on the launch of the new bikes.
